We had an incredible time at the CIE Guest Speaker Talk held on 8 Nov 2023! Thank you to everyone who attended and made it a resounding success!

Our esteemed guest speaker, Mr Rex Lai, Head of Projects (Greater Bay Area) from Proactive Think Tank, delivered an inspiring sharing on the latest start-up ecosystem and funding policies in the Greater Bay Area and used various data to explain the advantages of each GBA city.

Rex also surprised the participants with special gifts, adding an extra touch of excitement to the event!

The students responded enthusiastically to his sharing, actively answering questions and interacting.

1 iGPS unit/1.5 ECA hours will be granted to the participating HSUHK students with full attendance.

Biography of Mr Rex Lai:

Mr Rex Lai is Head of Projects (Greater Bay Area), Proactive Think Tank. He is passionate about start-up incubation and supports young people to embrace different opportunities in the GBA cities. He also works closely in the fields of start-up ecosystem, youth innovation, technology entrepreneurship and education, with business sectors, non-profit organisations, international young organisations and governmental units in Hong Kong, cities of the Greater Bay Area, and ASEAN countries. Currently he also serves as a business mentor for different tech companies, and advisor of the STEM+E Consortium.

He was a Person-in-charge (PIC) for Hong Kong Young Entrepreneurs Programme of Hong Kong Cyberport. He is an HSUHK alumnus of the BBA programme in the class of 2014 and is now an Executive Committee member of HSUHK Alumni Association.
