During the Workshop, speakers from Cyberport provided an introduction to its support to start-up companies in Hong Kong and its Cyberport Young Entrepreneurship Programme (CYEP). The winning teams of E-Challenge 2022 will be provided with a fast-track opportunity to CYEP (valued HKD 100,000). There was also a sharing session by two start-up entrepreneurs.

krip is Hong Kong’s first centralized credit card rewards platform, providing a single touchpoint for consumers to discover their card rewards through a personalized user interface supported by geo-location. krip’s technical infrastructure is powered by a complete end-to-end rewards solution that helps card issuers and networks improve rewards data management and marketing, including backend rewards data content management system, rewards data API, and white-label frontend user interface. In the era of open banking, their technology addresses the lack of a standardized data management system to support the seamless exchange of rewards data across card issuers and networks, merchants and consumers in Hong Kong.

In this talk, Mr Timothy Leung (Executive Director of HKAI Lab) shared the accelerator programme organised by HKAI Lab. Moreover, two entrepreneurs, Mr Jason Yuen (Co-founder & CEO of SOCIF Ltd) and Mr Tony Lam (Founder & CEO of Algogene Financial Technology Company Ltd) shared their start-up journeys under the trend of artificial intelligence.

Alex is responsible for the strategic development of FastLane Group. He is a fellow member of CPA Australia and has over 20 years of professional finance and accounting, corporate finance, and investment experience in financial services and asset management companies. Alex held regional Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer roles in a number of global financial institutions including Deutsche Bank, Bank of America, a Hong Kong-listed company, and an Asian private equity firm. He is an investor for early-stage and high-growth companies.
