The Global University Innovation Network (GUIN), led by the Hong Kong Science Park (HKSTP), successfully hosted a networking luncheon on 11 March 2026, welcoming Mr Ken Jefferd, Managing Director of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation from the University of Melbourne. Held during Mr Jefferd's visit to Hong Kong and HKSTP that week, the luncheon marked another step forward in GUIN's mission to foster international university collaboration and position Hong Kong as a global innovation hub.
Professor Jeanne Fu, Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience), and also Director of Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), represented The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) at the event. The luncheon brought together university representatives and HKSTP leadership to exchange insights and explore practical opportunities for collaboration in research and innovation, industry partnerships, IP commercialisation, and entrepreneurship programmes. Participants also gained a deeper understanding of Hong Kong's dynamic innovation and technology (I&T) ecosystem in higher education and the role HKSTP plays in catalysing cross-sector collaboration.
