From a young age, I was fascinated by how technology could shape experiences and connect people. Growing up in Hong Kong’s fast-moving environment, I saw many young entrepreneurs struggle to bring their ideas to life, not because they lacked creativity, but because they lacked guidance, resources, and support. That realization motivated me to step into the world of innovation and entrepreneurship, determined to build solutions that could create real impact.
My journey began in the startup ecosystem, joining an early-stage F&B platform startup with a lean 15-person team. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the F&B industry was struggling and many businesses were forced to shut down, we not only sustained growth but accelerated it. Through continuous experimentation with new pitching angles and marketing ideas, we helped merchants adapt to the rapidly changing environment.
During that period, we created a dedicated business channel for merchants and introduced COVID-focused marketing strategies. These initiatives enabled us to bring over 100 merchants onto the platform, generating more than HKD 2 million in sales and expanding the user base from one million to two million HK registered users. Achieving such growth in a highly uncertain and competitive period taught me the importance of execution, adaptability, and the ability to scale ideas beyond the conceptual stage.
After that, I stepped into the AI industry, focusing on industrial AI and AI vision solutions. I supported Smart City initiatives and developed technologies that bridged innovation with real-life application, from digital human communication tools to AI-driven training and simulation solutions for universities and colleges. I also had the opportunity to work in the film and entertainment space, creating innovative screening experiences that connected audiences in new and engaging ways.
Throughout this journey, the most important lesson I’ve learned is that entrepreneurship is not just about innovation, it’s about execution, collaboration, and community. No one succeeds alone.
HSUHK has played a meaningful role in my development. Through its entrepreneurship programmes and opportunities to engage with students, I gained new perspectives and platforms to share my experience. I am especially grateful to Prof. Fanny CHAN and Prof. Patrick MOK, whose support, guidance, and mentoring provided me with valuable insights and opportunities to grow my business. Their encouragement reminded me why I started: to inspire young people and show that with the right support, Hong Kong youth can create meaningful change.
My journey is still ongoing, but I am proud of the path I’ve taken—and excited for what comes next.
