On 24 October 2026 (Saturday), The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) hosted its annual President's Reception for Parents, welcoming parents of new students to campus and helping them understand their children's university experience and HSUHK's "Liberal + Professional" education model. As one of HSUHK's learning support units, the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) introduced to parents how the Centre supports students through entrepreneurship education, social innovation projects and external collaboration.
CIE presented the Greater Bay Area Youth Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Programme, giving parents a clearer picture of how students learn beyond the classroom. Through regional exchange, start-up practice, social issue exploration and team-based projects, students are able to understand the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Greater Bay Area while developing practical responses to community needs. CIE also shared examples of students' learning outcomes, including their growth in communication, problem-solving, teamwork and project planning.
As CIE celebrates its 10th anniversary, the Centre also used the occasion to introduce the upcoming CIE 10th Anniversary Ceremony. The ceremony will look back on CIE's work over the past decade in entrepreneurship education and social innovation, bringing together students, faculty members, alumni and partners. Sincere thanks to all parents who visited the CIE booth, spoke with the team and supported students as they explore different learning pathways at HSUHK.
