We had an inspiring experience at the Hong Kong Techathon+ 2025! The finale, held from 17 to 19 January, was co-organised by HKSTP and a network of prestigious local higher education institutions, including HSUHK, CityU, HKBU, HKMU, LingnanU, CUHK, EdUHK, PolyU, HKUST, HKU, THEi, and IVE.
This year's Techathon+ Finale reached new heights:
- Over 1,800 participants
- More than 380 project teams and ideas
- 140 teams competing in the Finale
- 40 non-local teams from 14+ universities across 10 regions
Special congratulations to our HSUHK team, Rehab-KG, for earning a Merit award in the Local Open Group (Sustainability and ESG theme). Their innovative concept is an AI-based rehabilitation support platform that uses Knowledge Graph (KG) technology to make rehabilitation services more efficient and effective. Designed for the elderly and underserved communities, the platform extracts insights from medical databases, journals, and patient records to provide personalised rehabilitation recommendations.
We are incredibly proud of the team's talent and innovative spirit. We look forward to seeing them bring this impactful idea to life, contributing positively to society and supporting those in need.
