The 10th anniversary finale of Hong Kong Techathon+, co-organised by HKSTP and 15 local tertiary institutions, took place at Hong Kong Science Park, bringing together representatives from local and overseas institutions, industry partners, and innovation teams.  

The Hong Kong Techathon+ 10th Anniversary Edition (Techathon 10A), a milestone celebration of ten years advancing tech entrepreneurship, successfully concluded at Hong Kong Science Park from 21 to 24 January 2026.  

Co-organised by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) together with 15 leading local tertiary institutionsincluding The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK)this flagship inter-university innovation competition attracted unprecedented participation, with approximately 1,900 individuals forming over 470 teams. 

During the intense four-day finale, multidisciplinary teams presented innovative solutions addressing four core themes: Trusted AI & Data Science, Sustainability & ESG, Digital Economy, and Smart Cities. Participants engaged in hands-on workshops, received mentorship from industry leaders, conducted site visits, and joined networking mixers that fostered valuable cross-disciplinary collaborations. 

HSUHK played a prominent co-organising role through its Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), which hosted lively pre-event mixers and encouraged students to present creative ventures.  

FurthermoreTechathon+ 10A not only commemorated a decade of impact but also reinforced Hong Kong’s position as a dynamic global hub for innovation, talent development, and entrepreneurial excellence, inspiring the next generation of tech leaders to drive meaningful change. 

Of these, 215 teams were international, reflecting the event’s rapidly growing global appeal Following a rigorous selection process, 172 teams advanced to the finale: 122 local teams and 50 overseas teams representing Australia, Brazil, Mainland China, Japan, Malaysia, Portugal, Singapore, Republic of Korea, and the United Kingdom etcIt has been establishing Techathon+ as a premier international platform for innovation and technology exchange.
