The
Hong Kong Techathon+ 10th Anniversary Edition (often referred to as Techathon
10A), a landmark celebration of a decade of fostering tech entrepreneurship,
concluded triumphantly at Hong Kong Science Park. Co-organised by the Hong Kong
Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and 15 leading universities
and institutions—including the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK)—this
premier intercollegiate innovation showdown drew hundreds of aspiring
entrepreneurs from Hong Kong and beyond.
Over
the intense finale weekend, multidisciplinary teams pitched groundbreaking
solutions across key themes: Trusted AI & Data Science, Sustainability
& ESG, Digital Economy, and Smart Cities. Participants benefited from
hands-on workshops, mentorship from industry experts, visits, and networking
mixers that sparked cross-disciplinary collaborations.
HSUHK
proudly played a key co-organising role through its Centre for Innovation and
Entrepreneurship (CIE), hosting vibrant pre-event mixers and mobilising
students to showcase bold ideas. The event reinforced Hong Kong's status as a
global I&T hub, offering winners cash prizes, startup funding, incubation
opportunities, and direct access to HKSTP's elite programmes. With record participation and inspiring
innovations, Techathon+ 10A not only celebrated a milestone but ignited the
next wave of young tech leaders ready to shape the future.
